I haven't had much luck with my odometers this year, but I did keep track of the mileages ( or is that kilometerage ). For the record, on the theory that Google won't fall over, I heareby lodge my mileage records so I can reset this current one and add to it next year.

When I am Eighty Nine
I first met Herb about 5 years ago, when he was a spritly 84 yo! He embarased me, rode up hills and everywhere as though he was Lance Armstrong.
He was a bit of a rider in his youth, and joined 7 Div Arty for WW2, serving in the ME and the islands.
After discharge, he became a minister of religion and served several parishes until his retirement but still kept his riding skills going.
And today he was 89, two days ago he did a 45 Km ride without blinking an eyelid,
Herb
So if I make 89, hope I am as fit and healthy as he is.

This and that
Logging on to this blog was a bit of a hassle, went into an endless loop and wonder if it was something to do with the new blogger that I switched to, or the Firefox2 that I am using.
Secondly, installed a SUSE 10.2 distro. Bad news, I can't use a mem stick unless I am root. Can't burn a CD unless I am root. If that's mainstream SUSE, they are welcome to it. Ubuntu (6.10 currently) is still tops for me.
My mistake!!!! Garbage in, garbage out!
When setting up the system, imported users from another partition. They were given a group of 1000, which is why it stuffed me up. Should have changed the group to users
Thirdly, another year is almost shot, done all the Chrissie things, now in switch off mode till the whole shebang is over.
And if anyone reads this, season greetings to you.
