Very rarely do I see a snake on the bike paths, but this one today rather surprised me.

I parked the bike, got the camera and took a series of shots. he seemed to be out of his home turf, and was franticly looking for a hole in the retaining wall. Up and down it went poking its head into every possible hole.

I got bored after a while so left, but turned round just in time to see him completely disappear into the wall.

Warm day, guess they will all be coming out of hibernation now.

I have an eeepc, my daughter an Ipod. She's standing next to me, snaps a photo, emails it to me and I put it here. Madness out of control!!!


The other notable event was that I got the lawnmower out after its 5 month winter hibernation. Pressed the thinggy three times and pulled the starter cord. It started first up, WOW. A four stroke, my first one, maybe that's what four strokes do?

A BSOD

Doing my Tax and WOW, a BSOD. A real novelty to me, but I believe commonplace for some users. But to be fair I was trying to get to a site with Quicktime as well, so guess that what caused the problem.

Glad to be back on this Linux driven Ubuntu :-)
