Well that subject ISBN belongs to a book by Paolo Pellizzari called Tours of the World. Probably one of the last 10 digit ISBNs to be used, but note the 13 digit number in the barcode below.

Its a good book for me, not many words to read and lots of pictures. The pictures are first class, and again I am envious of those that compose fantastic photographs.

Shots are from the more prestigious or interesting tours around the world, seventeen countries in all including the "Tour Down Under"

There's a preface by Lance Armstrong, first 6 time winner of the TDF it says, so now you know the date of publication as I think Armstrong went on to win a seventh in 2005.

So thanks to daughter number three who gave it as a Xmas present. A nice addition to the bookshelf.

Woolongong Weekend

Last year I did the Gong and the first weekend of February, returned for a bit more of a ride around what was once a great industrial town based on steel, but these days, it has diversified and is just a regular city with traffic jams, a university and all the trappings of a big city including a YHA where we stayed for two nights. First class.

It does have some fantastic paths for walking. Our Sunday ride was on a beautiful warm day along the beaches to the Seacliff bridge and back. There were "thousands" out walking. Tremendous!
